Hiking to a “Hidden Waterfall”

On June 7, within the framework of the “Open Basin” sub-grant project, “Blejan” Environmental, Social and Business Support NGO organized a hiking trip to the “Hidden Waterfall” in “Dilijan” National Park for the young people involved in the project.

The hiking, which was a source of new and interesting information, really served its educational and cognitive purpose. During those 3-4 hours, we learned how to orientate ourselves in wilderness area, react correctly in case of danger, walk on the right path, avoid unnecessary risks, be as prepared as possible, wear comfortable clothes and, before the visit, explore the path that’s planned to walk on. We were inexplicably saturated with great feelings during that time and were very inspired.

The tranquilizing sound of the river and the chirping of the birds motivated us even more and made us smile and smile …
As soon as we reached the waterfall, we admired that hidden wonder created by nature. At the end of the day, we discussed everything we saw and felt and received answers to many questions. The tranquilizing sound of the river and the chirping of the birds motivated us even more and made us smile and smile …

We are grateful to the project management team for their contributed efforts and energy. Due to the knowledge gained from them, ecotourism in Gegharkunik marz (province) will surely develop, which will in its turn contribute to overcoming the socio-economic challenges of the marz.

It should be noted that the Open Basin sub-grant project is implemented by the efforts of “Blejan” Environmental, Social and Business Support NGO within the framework of “EU for Culture: Stronger Communities and Local Initiatives” program.

The project is funded by the European Union with the support of the Institute for International Cooperation of the German Adult Education Association (DVV International), the Media Initiatives Center, the Museum Employees and Friends Association and the Armenian Center for Democratic Education (CIVITAS).
