By the financial support of the organization“Save the Children”, ecological and socialNGO of business support called ՛՛BLEJAN” continues the program “Struggle against sex discrimination of fetus”, which gets financial support from European Union and cooperates with “International Center for Human Development” NGO, “Save the Children” organization, “Armavir Development Center” NGO, “Martuni Women’s Community Council” NGO.
The program “Mission of creation” has been launched in Gavar regionsince the 1st of August 2016.The goal of this program was to contribute to the change of discriminative attitude towards women and girls, the prevention of sex-selective abortions, the reduction of gender inequality in family and society.
In the frame of this program three-day instructive courses on the issue and goals of the program were taken place for theearly chosen 13 tutors from 11 communities of Gavar region. The doctor of ultrasound research in Gavar medical centre, who had already been trained in the state program “Struggle against sex discrimination of fetus”, also participated in this course.
The program was held by L. Asoyan,the director and president of “Blejan” ecological, social NGO of business support,and by H. Umrshatyan,the coordinator of the program, who are the facilitators of the state program “Prevention of sex-selective abortions” in Gavar. During the program the participants were supplied by all the necessary instructive materials, films, booklets. A group of 13 active students was created. They organized and held meetings with different focus groups in their communities.
The purpose of this program was to train those 13 participants, whohave capabilities of controlling auditoriums of different spheres,are also respectful and famed representativesin their communities, becausethey should share their knowledge and experience with 5 beneficiary groups in every community during their meetings.
